12 Crafts of Christmas || Yarn-Embellished Gift Wrap

I always love adding personal touches to gifts whenever I can. These yarn embellishments were a quick and easy way to dress up and personalize my Christmas gifts. I love how just a little bit of yarn can make the plain brown paper so much more fun and festive!

Materials:
- wrapped presents
- DK weight yarn
- size F crochet hook
- scissors
- yarn needle

Directions:

Bow #1: This bow is worked by making three crochet strands and tying them together. Work the stitches fairly tightly so that the strands will curl naturally.
- Strand (make three):
     - Ch 31.
     - Row One: Sc in 2nd chain from hook and across. Turn.
     - Row Two: Ch 1. Sc in each st across. Bind off and Weave in ends.
- Use one strand to tie the three strands together.

Bow #2: This bow is worked in two pieces and sewn together to form a bow.
- Body:
     - Ch 31.
     - Row One: Sc in 2nd chain from hook and across. Turn.
     - Row Two: Ch 1. Sc in each st across. Turn.
     - Rows Three - Eight: Repeat row two.
     - Holding narrow edges together, slip stitch up the side to form a loop.
     - Bind off and weave in ends.
     - Fold loop so that the slip stitches are in the center of the back.
- Band:
    - Ch 10.
    - Row One: Sc in 2nd chain from hook and across. Turn.
    - Row Two: Ch 1. Sc in each st across.
    - Rows Three - Six: Repeat row two.
    - Bind off leaving long end for sewing.
    - Wrap band around the center of the body piece. Holding narrow ends together, use yarn needle to stitch the two narrow ends together. (This will be a little difficult because the band is so small. It needs to be small, though, so that the bow will pinch together in the middle!)

Pom-Pom:
I'm not going to go into how to make the pom pom because there are literally hundreds of pom pom tutorials out there! I used this tutorial, but feel free to use whichever one you like. :)
